About
A short film that follows two painters living in different worlds: Julián Gades in Cádiz (Spain) and Vincent van Ojen in Helmond (Netherlands). Each is shaped by different surroundings and ways of working.
2 Painters
Gades works like a magician within realism, painting scenes that look completely real but don't actually exist, making the viewer believe they are looking at a real place. Van Ojen is not interested in the object itself. He takes it and turns it into something completely different, creating abstract work guided by feeling and color. Two opposite approaches unfold side by side until both worlds meet in Helmond. Despite a language barrier, they connect through what they share: a strong, simple passion for painting.
